1. Acceptance of Terms
By using Seen on CCTV (“the Service”), you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Eligibility
The Service is available to UK residents aged 18 or over. Video uploads are restricted to UK users. By registering, you confirm you are a UK resident.
3. User Content
- You must only upload footage you have the right to share.
- You must not upload footage that is fabricated, misleading, or uploaded with intent to harass any individual.
- You grant Seen on CCTV a non-exclusive licence to publish, store, and display your submitted footage for community safety purposes.
- By uploading a video to the Service, you also agree that Seen on CCTV may share or repost your footage on its social media platforms, unless you explicitly tell us otherwise at the time of upload or by contacting us afterwards. You can still submit a video removal request at any time.
- All uploads are subject to admin review before publication.
4. Prohibited Uses
- Uploading footage containing personal data (faces, plates) beyond what is necessary for the reported incident
- Using the platform to harass, defame, or target individuals
- Searching vehicle registrations for unlawful purposes
- Attempting to circumvent the platform's security measures
5. Payments
Video downloads (£2.99) and paid vehicle registration searches (£5.99) are processed via Stripe. All payments are non-refundable once a download link has been issued, except where required by law.
6. Content Removal
We reserve the right to remove any content that violates these Terms, infringes rights, or is subject to a valid removal request. To request removal of a specific video, use our Video Removal Request form.
7. Disclaimer
Seen on CCTV is a community platform. We do not verify the accuracy of submitted footage and accept no liability for content uploaded by users. Footage should not be used as the sole basis for legal action without independent verification.
8. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
